This is usually caused by an out of date version of Adobe Air. This can be rectified by the following
On a PC:
From Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel:
- Uninstall Social Search Cloud
- Uninstall Adobe AIR
- Download a fresh copy of Adobe AIR from http://get.adobe.com/air
- Download a fresh copy of Social Search Cloud from your unique download link
- Install Adobe AIR
- Install Social Search Cloud
On a Mac:
- Drag Social Search Cloud from your Applications folder to the Trash
- Go to Finder>Go>Utilities and run Adobe AIR Uninstaller to uninstall Adobe AIR.
- Download a fresh copy of Adobe AIR from http://www.adobe.com/products/air/
- Download a fresh copy of Social Search Cloud from your unique download link
- Install Adobe AIR
- Install Social Search Cloud
It is very unlikely your installer is actually corrupted as over 98% of installations are working. If you are unsure about your copy - delete it, download the latest version from the members area. Then check the file size - it should be around 2.2mb.
If you are on Windows 8 - and are still having problems - it is worth altering compatibility features for the app.
- Right click on the Adobe Air file
- Clicked on Properties
- Clicked on tab 'Compatibility'
- Checked the box that said 'Run this program compatibility mode for:' and
selected the dropdown menu for Windows 8
- Clicked Apply
- Then opened up Social Search Cloud and it installed without any more
problems.
